at Sam's
We've been playing the "every 5th Tuesday" at Sam's
BBQ in San Jose for just short of one year. That
works out to about four shows a year because, let's
face it, there just isn't five Tuesdays in every
month! Well there is a fourth Wednesday every month
and that's where you'll find the Crows starting
in July. A little bit of math is all it takes to
figure out that you can see us 12 times a year at
this particular location. BBQ, cold beers, the Crows...good
times.
Mark and Ken's other band, Hyperbole
Mountain, is going to play a short set before
hand. Show up by 5:30, if the spirit moves you.
Call and reserve a table! Last time we had a full
house and a few unhappy campers had to sit inside
and miss the music.

We played here in May and it was, as Mark would say,
fabulous. Beautiful weather, beautiful people and
so on and so forth! Come enjoy the drive,
the beach, the patio, the food and the bluegrass.

Old Fashioned Festival
Bolado Park in Hollister
This is the Northern
California Bluegrass Society's big party every
year. It is a three day long showcase of local bands
old and new. And...it's an all out all night picking
party since just about everybody who likes to pick
is there. Bring your sunscreen, a floppy hat and
a cooler full of beer. You can keep the floppy hat
but you ought to share the rest with the Crows.
We played just as the sun went down and last year
and it was mighty fine. We play Saturday night at
7:00 this year and hope you join us.

That's right. We're back at Sam's for another evening
of summer fun on our new "every fourth Wednesday"
schedule. Cold beer, BBQ and bluegrass with the
Crows. Is there anything more all American than
that? Get your reservations early. Last time we
sold out and had some unhappy campers.

This is a private party for the Palo
Alto Lawn Bowls Club. The good news is that
the club rents out the building very reasonably
and puts on introductory lawn bowling parties. You
could throw your own Mighty Crows lawn bowling party!

September 6th
Brown Barn Blugrass Festival in San Martin
The festival takes place September 5th - 7th at
the San
Martin Country Park at 13865 Monterey Highway
San Martin, CA (near Gilroy, CA).
The Crows played at the very first one a few years
ago for Jake Quesenberry. We couldn't do it last
year but this year we'll be playing Saturday night
at 8:00. You should come for the whole thing.

Marsh Festival in Clearlake
Our friends the Barefoot
Nellies went there last year and said they had
a good time. Our friend Buck Buckner who helps organize
it said he thought it was a good time. Don Coffin
who books it called and said we should come up, play
a couple sets and have a good time. It really sounds
like it might be a good time. It's a couple hours
north of San Francisco and rumor has it there's a
lake somewhere near there.
